Hot glue, tacky glue, E600, glue sticks, it doesn’t matter! It all comes right off! Hot glue peals off once cooled and all the others do too or wash in warm water and wipe dry. It Saves the classroom table tops a million times over! The small ones are the perfect work size with our pick boards You can order just the mat or add the pickboard and wire cutters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo use as an appliqué mat:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI lay my mat on my felt pressing mat, then my lay my wool or Pre-Cut wool piece all face down on the mat and then l lay my fusable paper, with the fuzzy side down and press with a hot iron. Just press do not iron back and forth. Lift and press a new spot. You will see the wool darken and show up more through the paper. Once cool gently peal the wool off and with your finger push any webbing to the back of your cut pieces. Now place on your wool backing, face up and press again to adhere. Now Stitch in place! No pins to stick your self with! In the pictures I had to use two small ones as we were out of the large ones. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe second way is to use it as an assembly mat for groups of cut out pieces. Once you have fused your wool or cotton peal off the paper backing. Lay the fused side down and gently press with the iron. This will lightly fuse it to the pressing mat. Now working in layers build your design until it is assembled and fused. Allow to cool and remove from the mat and set aside. If your working on a large design build your next section. Once all the sections are complete lay them out on your base or foundation and fuse them by pressing again with the iron. I used one of the Rebekah Smith 10 inch squares, folded it on half and sewed up the two short sides. Turned it inside out and sewed on some flowers, leaves and stems. Added a few buttons to embellish it and then inserted one of our small zipper project bags inside of it. I used tacky glue if I don’t have a glue gun handy.\u003cbr\u003eMake sure it’s well glued on the back. On the back I go an 1\/8 of an inch outside the finished ornament and 1\/8 over the last row of hooking or punching allow to set up or dry. Now cut close to the edge of the ornament leaving the least amount of backing possible on. \u003cbr\u003eNow I choose my backing color, I love the solid wools. But any fun fabric will work. Cut 4-6 inches of tiny twill tape to make the hanger and glue to the back of the ornament at the top. Now I run a lot of glue all over the back of the ornament and heavy around the edges. Then press it on the wool making sure I have at least 1\/4 of edges, if I go close to the edge.
