Constructing a Pictorial
In this 2 part workshop on the first day students will learn how to create and
construct their own individual design by using templates to build a landscape
pictorial design (approximately 18” x 24”). A color plan will be developed for a
design with a foreground, middle ground and background. Second day,
discussion will be around different ways of portraying perspective and distance
with color and cuts of wool and begin to hook their design.
The sample piece pictured is just for example, but will be used as an inspiration
and jumping off point for you to create your own one of a kind rug.
Expand your understanding of shading in this collaborative, encouraging, and
informative class! Each student will work from choices of templates, learn how to
make their own easy templates for future projects and have the opportunity to
use the same templates to create their own individual design. No drawing
experience or skills required! Pam will have wool's to choose from to get started or student are welcome to bring some staple colors if they like.
