This is showing the 2018 class discription, info and cost. The 2019 info will be listed in July when we open sign ups. We are hoping to have a beginner class and an advanced class.
We will have two classes due to high demand
and keeping this class small enough to be hands on.
This class is Wednesday afternoon 12:30-4 & Thursday morning 8:30-12.
EASY - EDUCATIONAL - FUN
The purpose of this class is to simplify how we dye our wool
by using ONLY the 3 Primary Colors (& a little brown) – to make ALL
the beautiful colors on the color wheel and their 8 values.
You will be impressed and
pleasantly surprised how EASY and ENJOYABLE dyeing can be.
Microwave dyeing is my preferred method and I will share this magic!
For those of you who have “been there” “done that” NO you
haven’t! It’s a NEW approach and a method developed for people (like
me) who have trouble understanding the color wheel. By going back to the
basics and using the Red, Yellow and Blue primaries you will learn how
to make all colors you want and understand how to use them.
For anyone who has been reluctant to try dyeing, this is for you.
For teachers, this is an excellent teaching tool. See firsthand my 8
Value swatch carded color guide showing all the
beautiful colors, plus the tints, and shades are written on each
card. No need for a dye book
Bring your enthusiasm to class! Nothing else required.
It’s new, its exciting, its fun. See you there! A Fast, Fun and Easy way to create wonderful Color for your Yarns, wool fabric and fleece!
Beginners, experienced dyers will enjoy this workshop!
This small scale dyeing is perfect for everyone!
