This was one of the most fun kits I’ve done in awhile! I loved stacking the Pennie’s and deciding on their order and how to stitch them and their placement. You will receive the pre cut wool outer piece, the cotton lining, pre cut leaves, Pennie’s in assorted colors, in the 3 sizes I used and a set of sew in snaps if you want to secure the top opening. I have found I do not need them as it’s a small opening and stays closed fine.
I did random stitches on my Pennie’s. Mostly French knots, whip stitch and blanket stitch.
You will need 1 ball of valdani #8 thread. I used color M90 I liked the old look and how it blended so well with all the colors. We have two styles of handles either sew on or clip on so you can change them out.
You will need handles if you want them, a needle and scissors and fusible if you like to use it. Also a sewing machine for sewing the sides of the lining, but this is an easy hand Sewing job too. . This is an easy weekend project.
Finished size is 8.5x11 with out the handles.
