Appliqué Work Boards

These mats are 100% wool and they create a perfect lay out surface for you wool appliqué and penny rugs. Because the wool pieces and the felt pads kind of stick with the frication your pieces stay put as you work.  Birch backing adds stability and stays light weight.
Please note Due to the wood backing these are NOT intended to be ironed on. 

When I travel I have a 12x12 work board that I have glued a small beanbag pillow to on one side. This lets me set it in my lap and have the top edge slanted towards me. Because the bean bag is soft it will snap to my knees or lap. I put a T pin in it to hang my small scissors on and Tpin my ball of thread so it doesn’t roll away. The entire felt pad is a pin cushion for my threaded needles.
