Our fun kit will let you create a 36 to 40 inch wool popcorn and red berry garland for your tree. We use assorted deep reds for the cranberries and our creamy off white with a tiny bit of sparkle in it for the popcorn. It’s the perfect holiday popcorn! The basic kit includes enough wool to make a 36-40 inch garland, two 5 inches needles and our favorite 6 inch wooden ruler for measuring your strips and of course directions with plenty of pictures showing how to make each part. You can add the optional Quicker Quillie tool, extra wool and a ball of valdani #8 if you need them. The extra wool gives you 8 more pieces of wool, ready for you to strip up and create a huge garland that's 5-6 yards long! The length depends on the width you cut your strips. A finer cut will create an ever longer garland! These are wonderful in displays, strung along mantels, draped on a cupboard, hanging in your window, piled in a basket and so much more! 
We have added an orange and black wool bundle so you can create a Halloween garland and a holiday for a fun Quillie garland too! 

Some people can whirl and twirl up a quillie with no problem! But some of us need to help our fingers a little if we can’t or we need a couple dozen for an egg or tree or other large project. Neil’s Quicker Quillies tool is perfect!   Slip the end of your wool strip in the opening and simple twirl to load up the quillie! Slide off and add a few stitches or I cover the back in hot glue and press on our glue mat to let cool.  Did you see the bouquet we made for the snowflake goblin girl? Wool Quillies are easy and fun and there are

I like to twirl my quillies and have random sizes, but sometimes I need certain sizes to create garlands or ornaments.

The sizes will vary due to the thickness of the wool and the tension you apply.

To organize my quillies by size so I thread a 5 inch needle and thread all the same size on the thread. I do not sew or glue them, I just thread them all on. Once I have enough of that size I just snip the thread and set them aside. This gives me strings of everything I will need for my project.

It’s simple or pull off one and either stitch it closed and secure or glue the ends and the back and apply where needed.
