Barnyard work shop with 1/16-1/18 2026
This is going to be fun! Join Julie and Chris in the new classroom for 3 days of special effects. We will explore sculpting, proddy, quillies, pixelating and more.
Your class includes:
1. Your 15x56 barnyard pattern, hand drawn on linen. $90 value
2. All your special wool needs like silks, yarns, roving and anything needed to create the special effects we cover in class. (It does not include the wool needed to hook the rest of your project, but it will be available for purchase if you need it.) $35 value
3. A zipper pouch tool kit with all the tools we will use in class to create the special area of the rug. This alone is a $40 value!
4. We will start each day at 10 am with a treat and coffee or tea.
5. Lunch will be served around noon time, our menu is usually soups, sandwiches, salads or similar.
6. Then some kind of treat in the afternoon. Please let us know when you sign up of any food issues so we can plan accordingly..
Each day we will jump right to work, area by area, as we build a pictorial scene with rolling hills, full of grazing sheep, pumpkin patches, fields of sunflowers and more! You must have basic hooking skills. We will have 3 Beeline cutters in class for use. We will be working with #3-#10 cuts of wool
Needed for class: your frame, scissors, rug hook, personal light if you like, our classroom is well lit. Sweater incase you get cool, glasses if needed, don’t laugh you don’t know how many times these are forgotten lol

We have frames for use if you need one. Please let us know ahead of time so we have them available
This class includes your instruction, pattern on linen, the special effects wool and fibers, a zippered tool pouch with tools, morning snacks and lunch and afternoon snacks. We will also play in the dye kitchen dyeing special wools for your projects. We will do some stained glass for the church, mottled for the evergreen trees and some marbleized wools for the fall trees.
Plus who knows what Chris and Julie will come up with for fun things to learn and add to your projects!
