Traditional Rug Hooking and Oxford Punching
give you very similar finished pieces.
Rug Hooking you work from the top,
Oxford Punching you work from the back.
Either one uses wool fabric strips or rug weight yarn.
Most people find the Oxford punching easier and faster.
Many people love the challenge of the old style of rug hooking.
You will learn the one of your choice, in class in an afternoon!
Learn to Rug Hook
Come spend the afternoon learning to do traditional rug hooking! Your kit includes your hand drawn pattern and all your cut wool and yarn to bind it off. You will have use of a rug hook, frame and scissors in class. You just show up with a smile ready to learn and to have fun! The kits for your project are included in the class cost. You will have the option of using and trying many hooks and frames during class time. Please keep in mind these are learning pieces to get your technique down to move on to larger more challenging pieces. While you might not finish your piece in class, you’re welcome to come back at any time for help in finishing.
