Julie’s on the Road Rug

This is for a 25x30 serged linen backing. You have three options when picking your piece. 
First is just serged edges. You will draw your own outside lines and inside lines. Remember to leave your 4 inches all the way around for your salvage
Second is the same thing but with the outside lines drawn in for you.
Third is all of the above and the lines for the squares drawn in for you.

There are so many fun ways to go with this pattern.
Draw circle in the centers, every one or every other one or random.
Center the circles or have them over lap and look like they are laying on top of the rug. Hook or punch as a log cabin.
Alternate horizontal and vertical lines from block to block. 
Draw a squiggly flower in each block or randomly here or there.
Alternate light and darks in the blocks.
