The 2024 Ugly Sweater Ornament Swap!

Ornament Block Swap
The cost includes a PDF pattern to down load with your sweater ornament on it to trace and embellish. It also shows a vest option if you want to go crazy! 
You will choose to make either 6 ornaments or 12 ornaments. 
All ornaments are to be made of good quality fabrics and have a back and a front. We ask that you use fabrics that you would be happy to receive.
You can appliqué them, mini punch them, Oxford punch them, rug hook them, how ever you want to create them.
First Decide if your doing 6 or 12 ornaments
Then decide if your Hooking, punching or appliquéing them! 

Design tips: 
Appliqué is easy, trace and cut out the sweaters and embellish with anything you like. Sew the back on and you’re done. 
To Rug Hook or Oxford punch first trace the shape on your backing according to the style your going to do. Allow 2.5-3 inches between each design for cutting out and finishing. After all the hooking or punching is finished, Run glue on the back of your pieces, I go 1/2 inch on the hooking and a 1/2 inch outside the hooking and one bead of it on the top right close to the last row of hooking or punching. Then trim it all away right up to the hooking or punching. The glue will hold it. This is how we do all of our flatties. Now cut out another sweater of wool or flannel and glue to the back. Don’t forget to add your hanger and go crazy embellishing! 
For mini punch I do all my punching, trim away all the weavers cloth except 1/4 inch. Fold this to the back and glue down. Cut another sweater as your back and sew or glue on. Don’t forget your hanger! 

All ornaments will be finished off, with a string or cord hanger and decorated on at least one side, but you can do both sides if you want to. Stitching, beads, charms, threads, rickrack, yarns anything goes for a holiday tree ornaments. Add collars, cuff, vests what ever you want to do! Go crazy! 

We ask that you do them all the same, or as close as possible, to be recognized as your sweater.

You will make your ornaments, keep one and then mail 5 or 11 back to us any time between now and  Oct 10, 2024
We will mail you your 5 or 11 new ornaments, with tracking, by November 1
As we complete samples ourselves we will post them here.
