We carry wool from many mills for our stock bolt wool and our base dying fabrics. You can order in fat quarters, half yards or full yards for your stash. All of the bolt wools choices need to be washed and dried to full them for use.
The bolt wool, unwashed, averages 59-60 in wide
Half yards are long halfs so they are 30x36 unwashed
1/4 yards are fat quarters so they are 18x29-30 unwashed
You will need to wash all of the bolt wool you order.
Most of our wools are best suited for #6 and up.
You can cut many of these truly 100% wool items down to a 4 and up to an 8.5 or hand torn with confidence and without fraying. If you are a fine hooker, these new items will give you a much broader selection of textures to use in your projects. If you use our wool for appliqué, trees, proddy, shirring, upholstery, etc., you will notice tighter edges on even more intricate patterns.
