Capri Boyle Jones THURSDAY AM
A practical guide with exercises
By Capri Boyle Jones, fiber artist
Color components also known as qualities aide us in the creative process. Transferring what we
read, think, know into application can be tricky. Struggles we may encounter in the creative
process include but are not limited to: color choices, colors blending together, colors not
playing well together, accentuating dimensionality, representing a desired end result,
recognizing there is a problem without certainty of what or how to rectify, changes to soon, etc.
Color Theory 101 will cover the important qualities of color that are the foundation of the color
system. Delving into theory with an emphasis on value we will translate the information into
the application. Through discussions and practical exercises, each participant will develop
examples of color qualities for a personal study guide.
